Ps. Alun Davies, National Director
Alun is the National Vice President of the Australian Christian Churches (ACC) and the Director of ACC International, leading over 185 missionaries around the globe who are engaged in significant community development projects and disaster relief in Australia and overseas. He also serves as a consultant to churches in Australia and National churches overseas. Alun teaches, conducts leadership seminars and ministers extensively in Australia and many nations and has authored several books.
Alun has over 40 years experience in pastoral ministry and was the Senior Minister of the thriving Faith! Christian Church for 30 years, ministering to over 3,000 people in the Dandenong region of Melbourne. He is the Founding President of Harvest Bible College, which has been operating for over 29 years and has graduated thousands of students. He is also the founding President of ‘We Care Community Services’, a charity that has been running for more than 18 years to feed and clothe thousands of people each year in Melbourne. The City of Greater Dandenong awarded Alun the “Non- Resident Citizen Of The Year” in recognition of the work of We Care in the community. Alun served as the State President of ACC Victoria for over 12 years, during which time the state significantly grew from 120 to 264 churches.
Alun and Joan have been married for 42 years and together they have three adult children and seven grandchildren.
Chad Irons, CEO of Operations
Chad has been CEO Operations of ACC International Relief for over 5 years after having served 2 years in Vietnam in different roles. He oversees the operations of ACCI, from staff, finances and organisational management to coaching ACCI's Field Workers through their time on the field.
Chad is a Chartered Accountant and a Coachnet accredited coach with over 11 years experience working in both large and small accountancy practices across the range of disciplines including tax, audit and small business advisory.
Chad first moved into the not-for- profit sector by taking on the role as business manager for a small Christian school and church in country NSW. Chad then joined an established ACCI Relief community development project in Vietnam where he and his family worked to build the capacity of the local staff and put in place systems and structures to enable them to continue the growth of their programs.
Rebecca Nhep, CEO of International Programs
Rebecca Nhep is the CEO of International Programs at ACC International. Rebecca has been working with ACCI for 16 years, 11 of which were field based in Cambodia working on community and family & community strengthening and family-based alternative care programs.
She runs ACCI's Kinnected program, which is operational in over 10 countries and focuses on the child’s right to a family; through deinstitutionalisation and through family and community-based care.
Rebecca also serves on the board of Children in Families, a Cambodian NGO providing family-based alternative care and advocates for childrens' rights through her place on the steering committee of the Better Volunteering, Better Care Network, Faith to Action and as a founding member of Rethink Orphanages.
Rebecca holds a Master’s Degree in International Development, and a Grad Cert in Missiology and Anthropology. Rebecca is passionate seeing the Australian church engage with the issues of justice and equality and embrace a human rights approach to international development.
